Even more fascinated when I heard that there is such thing called Mille Crepe appear in this world. The idea of super thin pieces of crepe layered up to form a cake shape with creamy cream stuff in between each layer just make me crazy. Must have! ( I told myself.) But where to get?

Well, from what I heard, the most delicious Mille Crepe in Malaysia lies in Malacca. But before I can go to Malacca, I found it at a place nearer than I can imagine.....

Dessert's Bar, which I spotted while wondering around at Hartamas Shopping Center.

Original Flavor Mille Crepe (RM 8.00)
This is the thing that caught my eyes when I passed through the entrance of Dessert's Bar.
Never have any Mille Crepe before I put this into my mouth, not sure what's the original taste like. But this crepe that I had, it's like a heavy version of cake. Each layer of crepe was slightly thicker from what I imagined, and this make the whole cake texture a bit 'bouncy'. Overall, the taste is nice, just that I can easily feel full just by having 2/3 of this Mille Crepe.

Hartamas Shopping Center

Lot K8, Plaza Ground Floor.
Opening hours: 10am to 10pm (daily)

Nope! Not yet.
My journey of hunting the most delicious crepe won't just end like this.

The time had finally arrived when I and a bunch of buddies went on a trip to PD and Malacca.
Yes, Malacca! That means I can finally taste the legendary Mille Crepe of Nadeje!!!

(Just wanted to show the logo of Nadeje here.) Not much time I had before my trip end, so I had to 'da-pao' the crepe and do all those photo shooting on the car.

Original Flavor Mille Crepe (RM8.50)
50 cents more expensive than the Dessert's Bar's Mille Crepe. But the differences not only at the price.
First impression it gives me is, the whole shape of this crepe hold up more like a perfect cake (not like the previous 1, rounded down at the edge). The texture is definitely lighter, the thickness of each layer is quite even. Not too sweet. And most important is, it's so light that I felt like it melted in my mouth. (OK, maybe I'm a little too exaggerated, solid thing WON'T melt). In conclusion, I love this!

Finally, I have tasted the original Mille Crepe!

When I say I love crepe, of course not limited to Mille Crepe. Moreover, Mille Crepe is just a new stuff I discover recently. My all time favorite is still the japanese crepe (again, salute to my manga.....).

And, here leads to another new discovery after the Nadeje's Mille Crepe.....

Shimino Harajuku Japanese Crepes, a crepe counter that I found at Ikano Power Center.

The design of this whole counter is just too lovely not to stop by. Soft crepe, stuffed with fresh cream and fruits. Anyway, you can check it on the link I posted above. Is much more detail and pro than what I can write. (OK, I'm not a good writer.)

I follow exactly the measuring from the original recipe, and I get 23 mini egg tarts. (Yah, Japanese again..... I'm so obsessed with Japanese stuff)
Their menu was more than Japanese food.....Taiwanese, Korean, Local.....basically any food with Asian theme. But I can tell, it's more to Japanese + Taiwanese side. Less choices for other country's cuisine.

Mother of Pearl -Original (RM 5.00)
Large pearl milk tea. Very fragrant one. Smooth and sweet. Addictive taste, just like Yippe Club.

Japanese Curry Pork Chop Rice (RM10.80)
Obviously I'm the one who ordered it. Thick curry sauce with generous amount of potatoes and carrots. Below it was a piece of fragrant deep fried pork chop. 1 word: YUMMY. The pork chop itself had a kind of fragrant smell in it. Plus the curry was exactly taste like the 1 I ate at Japan, thick and smooth, full with vege sweetness. Normally, people just use our local rice to cook Japanese cuisine. But this one was real Japanese rice. Nice!

Beef Noodle Soup (RM8.80)
Yes, I don't eat beef. But My dar dar did. According to him, it's very DELICIOUS. Fragrant, flavorful soup, with very generous amount of beef slices and beef meat ball (he was smiling while eating this). The only things to critic was, after he ate half of it, the soup started to taste a little saltier.

Sauce that comes with the noodle. Very special taste. Can't tell exactly what's inside. It taste a little sour, lime kind of sour, a little wasabi sharpness inside, and a little ginger taste too. All together, nice combination.

Overall, I'll recommend my colleague to come have lunch with me here if we have time. Cause I think that they have many choices of food here, and the price is reasonable too. You can find many food under RM 10.00 here. Some more, the taste has guarantee. ( according to what I tried that day ).Will come to try more next time :).

Asian Food House Restaurant

Location:

38, Jalan SS21/58, Damansara Utama,
47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Twenty Niners.....

Food hunting at Kepong again.
Didn't know what to eat anymore.
And, suddenly, a bright red sign board with some Japanese words catch my eye. Thought it'll be like Campbell + a chunk of salmons when I first look at it.

But I was wrong. It fill my mouth with seafood when I spoon it in my mouth. Not a trace of Campbell taste in there.

Japanese Curry Rice

Another FOC stuff. Can't believe I can find my favorite curry rice in the FOC department. When I say FOC, did you thought that is some cheap local white rice with watery curry sauce? No, no, no. This is real JAPANESE RICE, with THICK, flavorful, very Japanese taste curry. You don't know how much I love Japanese curry rice. The rice itself here is heaven for me. Taste exactly like the Japanese curry rice I had in Japan.

Glass Noodle Salad

I know it looks like what, but this is not Meehoon Goreng. This is one of the salads in the bar. Cold, vinegar-kind sour taste. Makes my appetite grows. The taste is so addictive that we have to do an encore on this.

So much for the FOC stuff, here comes the main course.....

Italian Chicken (RM19.00)

The main course serve rather slow here. I was almost full with the FOC stuff when they serve this. Considering the price, this dish was not as big portion as I imagine it to be. Same as all other food here, they serve this plate of western chicken with Japanese element in it too.....the white radish with some savoury sour sauce on it. Not a big fan of that, coz the white radish had the natural bitter taste in it ( all plain cooked white radish have that taste I think ). The chicken was just cooked (some part still feels raw to me), with cheese and fresh tomato sauce on it. Quite ordinary for a main course at this price, I should say.

Garlic Onion Burger (RM18.00)

Dar-dar's ordered. (who else will eat beef?) This one more impressive than mine. Big burger (50% bigger than mamak's burger) with thick wagyu patty in it. Juicy, sweet beef patty with very Japanese taste. (that's what dar dar says). Quite full though, the patty alone.

Assorted Ice Cream

Various flavor of ice cream for grad near the curry bar. A prefect touch for an end of the meal.

Overall, the All-You-Can-Eat stuff were so fantastic, that it make the main course taste so ordinary. Too ordinary for the price they offering. But I really love the Japanese-western flavor they have here. (How many times did I mention Japanese in this post? )

Twenty Niners

Location :

Block C-G-8, Jalan Metro Perdana 3,

Taman Usahawan Kepong, 52100, Kuala Lumpur.

(Shop lots behind Kepong Carrefour, same row with Bel Pesto, and next to a steamboat restaurant)

Lovebite Cafe.....

Born on 14th April 2010, this cafe is the hard-work of a friend of mine, Connie, and her partners.
Of course, when there is food, I have to make sure myself to involve in it (food tasting I mean). Moreover that day was a big day for Connie, sure I can't miss it.

First impression: Clean and tidy space for people to either enjoy food or just plain chat while having drinks.
Love the little painting on the wall, makes the whole place so lovely. Small details, that's what I like :) .Must be the idea of Connie. Always a romantic person.

Second impression: Menu.

Fill with local and western delight, from drinks to desserts. Not many choices, but not little too. Just right for a starting of a cafe.

Next, of course is something that require my taste bud.....

The Drinks:

Hot Lemon Tea

Ordered by my house mate. Served with quite a generous amount of lemon, I think. Like the taste of the sugar syrup they add in it. Taste a little burned, but not till the caramel level.Makes the whole cup of tea become a little more special to taste.

Hazelnut Coffee Ice Blended (if I'm not mistaken......Forgot what it actually called :p )

Watermelon Juice

Fresh fruit juice, of course (what else it can be..... -_-") I saw the watermelon being processed in front of my eye, so no cheating, all are real fresh fruits in this cup.

Ice Lemon Tea

Same generous amount of lemon, same tea, just that this is the ice version. Meaning, less sugar taste.

Now, the food.....

Homemade Nasi Lemak (if I'm not mistaken, again)

Recommended by Connie herself. Very homey feel. Just like it's made by mummy (that's what my dar dar says). The sambal were not too sweet or too spicy. Personally, I hate those extremely spicy sambal, those that no other taste but spicy. Really, what's the point of tasting nothing but the numbness of your tongue? So, for me, this one is just fine.

Tomyam Fried Meehoon

Quite a big portion for me. And flavorful too.

Chicken Cordon Bleu

My favorite! (Anything to do with cheese and chicken might be my favorite).

Not like other cordon bleu, this version was not breaded and deep fried with no sauce on top. This version included 2 pieces of grill chicken breast, with ham and cheese, plus a layer of creamy sauce around. Although I enjoy all the cordon bleu outside, but I always wish for a little more sauce for the piece of deep fried meat. And, I get it here.

Dessert time!

Green Tea Tiramisu

Also recommended by Connie herself.

Soft green tea cake with creamy green tea filling in the middle. Love the smoothness of the mousse like filling. Just that I wish the green tea flavor could be heavier.

Honeydew Sago Milk (sorry if I say it wrongly, I really can't remember the exact name :p)

Manggo Milk ( I think )

Cheese Pudding

This was something special. I often eat cheese cake, but not cheese pudding. Smooth milky cheese pudding top with salty cheese sauce. Can't accept the salty taste for a dessert at first. But as I finish it bit by bit, I felt that this is quite a special and nice combination. My house mate love it.

That pudding conclude my visit to this new born baby.

For a baby, future improvement is a must. Connie told me they will add more choices to the menu from time to time. But for now, so far so good for me, as a customer.

Lovebite Cafe

Location:

9-1, Jalan Melati Utama 2, Taman Melati Utama

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 53100

Mon - Wed: 12:00 pm - 1:00 am

Fri - Sat: 12:00 pm - 2:00 am

Sun: 12:00 pm - 1:00 am

Yummy 'Traffic'.....

Is been awhile (again!) since my last update my blog.
I know, I'm super duper lazy person.
Always wondering why those professional food blogger do it ( searching for good food, hold themselves back to take photos of yummy food although their stomach are putting the siren on, edit photos, putting them on blog right after the visit, blah, blah, blah.....). I find myself impossible to be one of those pro.
Well, then again, I just wanna share.

And this time, I think I really found a nice place. Nice as in AFFORDABLE and YUMMY at the same time.

Like any other day, I was cracking my head, thinking what to eat for dinner after a long day work, and I was trying my best to avoid places in 1 Utama (coz I was there for almost 3 meal a day * 7 days a week ). So, I and dar-dar decided to go somewhere near, yet not so familiar for us. And we found this.....

The Traffic D'light Cafe, somewhere near Bandar Utama, Damansara.
Think that all food in Damansara are expensive? Think again.

First thing that come to the table after ordering was this.
Snow Fungus & Winter Melon Tong Sui (RM 3.80)
I know is normal to pay RM 3.80 for a bowl of dessert, but.....

Look at the bowl compare to my hand. I don't know bout you, but this bowl definitely a little bigger than what I expect a single portion of tong sui should be. Can divide into four small bowl. Oh, by the way, in this picture was another flavor - Snow Fungus & Sea Coconut Tong Sui (RM3.80)
Both tong sui were nice, not too sweet, and not tasteless either, just perfect. But I prefer the white 1, coz for this dark colored 1, the sea coconut were a little hard to chew.

Pork & Yam Bun (RM 4.50)
Chinese steam bun with stew pork with yam inside. Filling was a little too salty, but if eat together with the bun, it'll be just fine.

Steam Chicken Noodle (RM 6.80)
Love the sweetness in the soup. Not too salty. Feels like eating ramen in some expensive chinese ramen restaurant. The chicken are quite tender too.

Fish Steam Meehoon (RM 8.00)
A must try! Cooked like normal steam fish, with meehoon under the fish. So as you can imagine, all the flavor of the fish and vege were fully adsorb by the meehoon. 1 word - Yummy!

MilkButter Chicken with Rice (RM 8.50)
I always like milk butter stuff. So I ordered this. The portion was quite big. I just wish that the chicken could be juicier, coz this one I had was a little chewy due to the way they fried it. But the taste was just nice.

Overall, I think this place is great. I even visit it twice in a roll in 1 week to try all these food. And these were just like 5% of what they have in their menu. I'll definitely visit again to try out other stuff. Nice choice of lunch and dinner place for me ^_^.

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_hLiTaLy5j_E/S9R2SxDQf0I/AAAAAAAAAKY/UIoWtkQ7T3s/s1600/TrafficDlight01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; But this alone already enough to attract people to fill up the cafe.

Of course, I'm here for some supper, I won't just pay attention on the waitress alone.

Blue Ocean (RM 6.90)
Beverage that I ordered. Normal soda drink with ice-cream on top. Not much to praise about. Just that I think they put too much ice in it, so I didn't really taste the soda.

Mocha Coffee (RM6.90)
Friend ordered this. Tasteless for him. Too much ice, I think.

Fried Udon Noodle with Chicken in Black Pepper Sauce (RM7.50)
Normal black pepper fried udon. Taste ok for me, just that I wish the portion could be bigger. Too less noodle for me, even as a supper.

Fried Udon Noodle with Venison in Black Pepper Sauce (RM8.50)
Friend's supper. Same thing as mine, but mine is chicken, his is venison. Same comment as mine, plus the venison is extremely chewy (chew till jaw pain.....lol).

Steamed Chicken with Salted Fish Bucket Rice (RM9.90)
Dar-dar's supper. Everything in a bucket when they served it, but we're sure that they're cooked in separate place. Reason-tasteless. And I just realize it called "steamed chicken with 'SALTED FISH' Bucket Rice" when I saw the receipt. Never taste any 'salted' thingy in it. Simply some rice with some chicken and vege.

Not that I wanna talk bad about it. I think this place is really cool. Put the 'moe' waitress aside, with so much of comics and board games, and the seats so comfortable, this is really a nice place to have gathering with friends. They even have wifi. But honestly, this place can only be eye candy. Craving for some f&b? Nah, this place not the first choice for me. Other than the f&b, this is really a Heaven for Otaku.....lol.

Way Back To My Past.....

It was a lovely Saturday.
Other than I had to wake up earlier than my usual working day to rush to Putrajaya, there was really nothing much to complain about.

Why I had to rush to Putrajaya? Because.....

The 2nd Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta!

Planned to reach at 7:00am, but in the end, because of can't wake up on time, so we reach at 9:++am instead. Wish to see some special + weird + cute hot air balloon at first, but too bad, we're too late, and all the nice balloon fly off.
Well, is ok. I still get to see some fun stuff there. Like.....

People ready to fly in the air.....

Smiley Balloon.....

And people rolling back and for in a big transparent ball.....

Nothing much I can say bout the fiesta, except crowded, hot and extremely hot. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad. Just that we're too late to get there and most of the nice thing just fly off before us. Overall it still a nice experience coz I never really see a hot air balloon before.

After spending 2 hours in this hot hot environment, the real fun of the day begins.....

The fun was.....We went to have lunch at this lovely restaurant that I used to hang out after school during my secondary school time. It's a restaurant with a beach theme called 阳光海岸 (Sunny Beach), located somewhere near Pudu Plaza ( also somewhere near my secondary school). Quite like this restaurant because it contain my memory of secondary school. I still remember how we walk to this restaurant to have our lunch after some co-curriculum activities at school. And until now, the restaurant haven't really change much compare to how it looks in my memory. Feel that it's quite special cause the whole restaurant really fill with lots of beach element.

They have this big brown area on the wall at the back of the restaurant, fill with sunny-beach theme song lyrics. They even change the song from time to time. All is about beach or summer.

The whole restaurant are fill with blue and beige color. As you can see, they even stick some little dolphins on the wall.

Place for some school girls to live a sweet memo. That's a must for a restaurant near school area. Not the nicely renovate kind, but it gives me a homely feel instead, with all those kinda homemade decoration filling the restaurant.

Here comes the food time......
We ordered a set meal and a ala-carte rice set. And the set meal included.....

Homemade Gui Ling Go.....
Not a Gui Ling Go fans, so nothing much to say about it.

A glass of Green Tea + Pearl inside.

A rice set. This was my dar-dar's set, and he happen to fancy some fried chicken at that time, so he ordered a Lam-Yu Friend Chicken Rice. All rice comes with a bowl of soup. Not a heavy MSG type of soup, taste more like home-cook ABC soup to me. Yummy.

They even offer an orange flavor ice tube for each set meal. Another thing that wakes my childhood memory. Seldom see people sell ice tube on the road in these days.

Ta ta!!! My ala-carte rice set. Salad Friend Chicken Rice! Love this so much. Always ordered this whenever I come to this restaurant. Crunchy fried chicken coated with spicy thousand island sauce. Totally suits my taste. All rice set is just RM5.++, and the set meal that my dar-dar ordered is RM8.++. Overall the f&b there is quite reasonable for student and is actually quite cheap for working people who used to pay RM10++ for a set lunch like me (work at high class area mah.....)

A full and nice lunch just not enough for me to enjoy my secondary school memories. A piece of fried prawn
cake is a perfect add on.

Freshly made from a mobile store park in front of Pudu Plaza main entrance. Again, taste of my past. Always pay RM0.70 to get this piece of crunchy prawn cake to satisfied my mouth and my stomach after a tiring school day. Not soggy and thick at all. Nicely fried round shape prawn cake outside, with slightly soft filling in the middle, fill with prawns and carrots. Just simply nice.

A nice lunch and a piece of crunchy snack for my tasty secondary school memories. The next of course is DESSERT!!! And our target is the 100 Yen shop at ss2, because in there have something so soft and sweet and cold.....

What we ordered was grape flavor snowy ice. Too sweet for my liking. Prefer the green tea snowy ice I tried before.

Restless stomach just won't stop here. The next stop is the place where we'll have our college gathering- Yippee Club at SS2.

Honestly, nothing tasty to eat there, but there is this one beverage, enough to attract us back to the shop again and again.

The Original Yippee Club Milk Tea! ( RM 7:00 for large size).
Milky, fragrant and irresistible drink for me. But some might find it too milky.

Last but not least, another way to remind me of my past...... a college foundation gang gathering.

It was a full and fun day. Wish I could do this in my every weekend. Searching the taste of my past, discover new things and having fun with friends. It's a nice Saturday after all.

War of Facebook

It was a boring day.....
It was another working day.....
Until I found this.....

There goes my ordinary-just-another-working-day.
Mind blank, thinking 'What-The-****' at first. type='text'>

I know I'm lazy (...always...). But I just can't get myself together to do the typing and photo editing for my own blog, cause of all these stupid festive seasons (Christmas, CNY, blah, blah, blah.....). Lots and lots of holidays, make you lazy and wish to do absolutely nothing, but spend all your money.....

My CNY for this year is quite normal, ordinary, usual......or should I say boring? Nah, is not that boring actually. Just that the more I grow up, the more I can't feel the joy and happening of the festival. I still remember when I was small, I'll be watching tv at home, waiting for reunion dinner on the eve of CNY, sometimes help out in the kitchen (just sometimes), while my aunt busy preparing the dinner from noon onwards. During CNY, we'll visit relatives house in Gopeng, I'll ask some friends to go along for house hoping (mainly to take more ang pow of course) and we usually stay up till very late for the first 2 nights of CNY, helping my aunt do the praying. Everything is just so fun and lively when it comes to CNY.

Well, I don't really feel that much for this year. In fact, the feeling of excitement for CNY become less and less during these few years. I guess things really change a lot when we grow up.

But still, I had some fun too. As my title, I think 'lou' quite a lot of 'sang' this year. Not that many really, but most of my CNY events come with 'lou sang'. (that's a must for CNY.....)

The first CNY-like dinner that I had this year was my sort of 收工酒 at 1+1 steamboat, treated by ling ling, our boss for the brand department.....(ling ling 万嵗！！！？？？）. No 'lou sang' for this 1 (yet....), but make it so CNY was the post dinner activity.....posing and photographing at 1Utama, with all the Meows~

Loveeeeee those cute and fat meows all over 1Utama. Makes everyone wanna hug them...(including me....)

Eve was the busiest day for my, had to rush for 2 reunion dinner(?) at 1 day, morning at dar-dar's place, night at aunt's place. Last year use to be 3, but this year my mom join my aunt side (thankfully!), so that save my stomach a bit.

Nothing much for day 1 & 2 of CNY, no relatives, no activity, nothing special for day 1. And day 2 was a little special, co I get to have a post valentine's dinner and watched Percy Jackson on that day. Is like a out-of-prison day for me, coz I was damn boring on day 1. Family dinner again on day 3, blah, blah, blah......and my 'lou sang' thingy starts on day 4.......when we're celebrating the '1/4 working + 3/4 new year~ing' mood with my beloved colleagues at neway, 1Utama.

Fun sing k session, quite a nice way to celebrate CNY. Had another gathering with secondary school's ji muiz on that night. Feels great, coz it's been a really long while since I last appear in a gathering.

The second 'lou sang' was with my family on the 7th day of CNY (the real day that you suppose to 'lou sang'). Cute little Hou Hou ( 5 years old cousin of mine) almost throw his chopstick in the air during the 'lou sang'.

And finally, the 'wait for so long' gathering with those animation ffk kaki.

I know 'lou sang' suppose to be fun, but they're just way too excited during the 'lou sang' session (my hands T.T .....)

Love to see them as well. It's been a long time since we all gather, and we still spend some crazy time like we use to during the college time.

That, more or less conclude my CNY 2010. It was 2:35pm and I haven't eaten anything yet!). And I found this in the concourse floor near Giant (place that use to be Parkson). Presenting the Japin Restaurant.....

How it attract me? First,it is a JAPANESE ramen house (I'm quite obsess with japanese stuff.) Second, the shop is mainly in Pink! Well, I think these 2 reason is more than enough for me to go in (haha).

Their choices of ramen are quite a lot (defnitely more than 10 type to choose) and all come in set too (included tea and salad). Since my dar dar already ate something, so we only ordered 1 set of ramen and 1 side order.

The Green Tea that comes with the set.

I found that their quite nice to give us an extra cup of cold water when they found out we only ordered 1 drink (cause most of the restaurant wouldn't do the same thing).

Salad that comes with the ramen set too.

A small plate of salad with some cabbages, carrots and corns in it. Love the sweet taste of the mayonnaise. I think they put some ebiko in it too, cause I saw some red dots in the mayonnaise.

Syoyu Ramen (RM 14.60 - set price)

The most basic ramen in the restaurant.Comes with 2 pieces of japanese char siu and 1 half boiled egg. Like any other Syoyu Ramen, the soup is clear and sweet. The ramen here are thinner than those that I used to eat, looks more like wantan mee to me. Anyway, my favorite in this bowl was.....

The Half Boiled Egg!!!

It looks like it was fully cooked from outside, but when I bite it, the liquid from the yolk starting to dripped out.....loved the taste of the egg. Wanted to order the egg for extra side order, but felt that is quite expensive if you order the egg alone.....(RM 1.80/ egg)

Last, but not least.....the Gyoza!(RM 6.80/ 6 pieces)

I love to eat gyoza, no matter is the chinese or japanese version.

The wat they cook their gyoza here is a bit different from outside. I ordered gyoza in so many restaurant before and most of them will fried to burn the skin a bit or some even deep fried the whole gyoza (poor gyoza). From what I read from book, gyoza should only fried 1 side, with some flour and water as base on the pan (hope you know what I'm talking about.....cause I don't really understand my own word either...haha). Erm, what I'm trying to say is, I think they use the right matter to cook the gyoza in this restaurant.

The skin is crunchy, and the filling is definitely more than those that I tried before. Nice!

Other than ramen, they serve other japanese rice sets and dessert too. I think I'll visit this restaurant again to try out other stuff (or maybe just for the sake of the EGG!!!)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://kathswonderland.blogspot.com/2009/12/japin-restaurant-sg-wang-plaza.html' title='Japin Restaurant @ Sg. Remove skin and seeds and cut pineapple and winter melon into small piece.

2. Blend it.

3. Combine the blended fruits in a sauce pan/pot, and cook in medium heat. (Be careful while heating the filling, cause when it's boiling, it might spit out)

4. When the liquid of the filling reduce to half, put in the sugar (for the sweet taste, so I just put the amount that I think is enough). The original recipe only use castor sugar, but since I have some brown sugar, might as well give it a try.....

5. When the filling cooked till almost dried out, put in the maltose (also for the sweet taste, so put as much as u like.....). Keep stir the filling once a while to prevent it from burn.

6. And finally (not so final), I've got my homemade pineapple paste!

7. Prepare the pastry. First, cream the butter. Then, mix in the dry ingredients. Finally, mix in the egg and refrigerate for more than 2 hours before use.

8. Roll the pineapple paste to form some balls. ( I use around 3/4 tbs of the paste to form 1 ball)

9. Do the same to the dough. (make sure is big enough to cover the paste ball) If the dough is too soft and sticky, cover with some plain flour, by using this way, it is easier to roll.

10. Finally, make some pineapple dumplings out of this 2 things, and send into the oven with 170 degree preheat (20 minutes).

Result

Quite a success for a first time try. (^_^)

Conclusions

1. Be extra careful while boiling the filling, cause it spit out and hurt my hand...

2. Brown sugar don't give much fragrant to the paste, so just stick to the original castor sugar.

3. Some says the paste should not be so smooth, should have some fruit to chew. So maybe next time, I should not blend all the fruits. Should left some, and cut it into smaller piece, then cook together with the rest.

Kath's Wonder Food: Marche Movenpick Restaurant

(It pronounce as Mar-shay, means french market.....)

This is a bit late to be posted cause this is actually my dar dar's* birthday event. But who cares, as long as I can have good food and share it, right?

Whenever I shop at The Curve, this is the place I'll look at when I pass by, and still, not dare to go in. Reason? It look expensive, so I'll save it for some special event. And here comes the special event (chance for some good food)!!!

A step away from the entrance, I realized it is not a normal restaurant.....it is a restaurant which I need to hold a ticket for all time and beg for a stamp whenever I ordered food! (not really that surprising, huh....)
Overall, it makes me I'm either in a slightly high class food court or a all-you-can-eat buffet that I have to pay for it during my exit (sad). But is fun though, cause the interior makes me feels like I'm a western market place (that's the whole concept of this restaurant.....)

Not much of choice like a food court, what they have is a counter each from beverages to desserts, but again, is fun walking around choosing what you wanna eat, really like a buffet, just that you have to pay for each things you ordered.

Roasted 1/4 chicken with black pepper sauce ( RM 16.50 )

Nicely roasted chicken with the choice of 2 sauce, black pepper / mushroom.

Side order - Mashed Potato with mushroom sauce ( RM 1.50 )

My favorite mashed potato (anything that's made from potato sure is nice), also with 2 choice of sauce, black pepper and mushroom. Love the creamy texture of the mashed potato and the flavorful mushroom sauce.( I realized that they're quite generous when comes to sauce...) Wish to order 1 more, but need to save room for other food....is sad that I'm not a big appetite person : ( .....

Large Honey Dew Juice ( RM 8.60 )

I saw the bar tender pressed 3 - 4 slices of honey dew down the juicer, so this is sure not water + little juice thingy like we have in mamak. Although it called 'Large', but for me is not that large though, maybe because I have a liquid-drainer beside me (my dar dar). But since the price for the small and large size are just differ by RM 1.00, so might just as well take the large 1.

Small Salads( RM3.50 )

The salads there are counted by the size of the bowl, so next time you go, you can practice the pizza hut's salads taking skill there (hope you know what I mean ^_^ ).

Sweet Crepe with Mix Fruit ( RM 6.50 ) + Nestle Ice- Cream ( RM2.50 )

We already had our main course, beverage and a salad as starter, of cause we can't miss out the dessert!

At first, I wanted to have a caramel pudding, but is too late when I reach the dessert bar, cause all the pudding's gone : ( ..... So instead, I take this crispy crepe with choice of 2 filling, hazelnut chocolate / cream cheese ( I take the hazelnut choco, coz not in the mood for cream cheese after a full meal ) and also 2 choice of fruit, mix fruits / bananas. What else can be added to complete this crepe? Of cause is a scoop of creamy vanilla ice-cream! But then I found out that the ice-cream has to pay separately, and is nestle some more.... a bit disappointed..... But overall, is a nice crepe.....

The tickets that were given to us at the entrance and the one who holding it ( you know who ).

Please, please don't drop or throw away or flush the ticket down the toilet, cause is you do, you'll need to pay a high price for that missing ticket ( RM 200 if I not mistaken....). A season which I love the most. Ever since the beginning of the year, I've been waiting for this very season to come (well, of course I waited for Valentine's Day, Chinese New Year, and my very own Birthday also la.......). Is a long long wait, and here the season have finally arrived (dang dang dang dang........).

And let's see what I get this year....

Erm..... for a start, the decorations at each shopping mall which I enjoy every year. That's what brings my festive mood on every time. But for this year, I've a little bit of dissactisfaction on the decoration. Maybe because of the whole world financial problem thingy, I kinda feel like each mall not really doing their best this year. Well, I'm not saying that the deco not nice, just not nice enough. My favourite is still the 'Candy Christmas Tree' from Mid Valley @ year 2006. That's the most festive mood that I felt so far.

Next, I have my company party (Christmas + Boss Birthday)! Not much to say on that. There 's always the same kind of celebration at the same place once very two month. Just that this time comes with the present exchange session. Really not much to say. Oh, guess what I get? The Famous 'Nightmare Before Christmas'..........cd bag. The moment I receive it, I was like....."Oh, why this?" Is not that it is very bad looking or what. It actually is a fine cd bag. But, first, I'm not a 'Nightmare' fans, second, I don't really use a cd bag, and third, I was wishing to get something that is not too common, like the cd bag ( ya, ya, I'm picky.....very). Still, that's a give that's comes from my luck. I suppose I should accept it gratefully. Eventhough I said that, but in the end I exchange it with one of my colleguage that get a box of golden candle. (Finally, I win! Ha ha.....)
What I think is that box of candle might looks useless to me ( the chance of me using candle is 99% of 'no') but it make me feel more Christmas. Tha's what I want.

The third is.....party! (again?)
Well, this time is our own CSD Christmas party. It is more fun then the previous one. We have potluck, which I get to fill my stomach with nice food from all the CSD members. Sadly mine was omelette which I burned it the morning I made it. So what I do? I replace my potluck menu with Mc Donald's Big Breakfast (ha ha). The best part of the party I think should be the way all the member dressed. Some are a bit over, but still it felt so Christmas to me.

Finally, my dating time with my boyfriend on Christmas day. Not much to say too. Yes, I get to walk around the shoping mall, buy things, dinner at nice restaurant, but still, I never really feel the season on the day itself. What I should say? Maybe the more I hope it would be prefect, the more it wouldn't be. Maybe, next year I should wish for nothing (that's impossible!).

In conclusion, each day still come and go as usual, including Christmas. Just hope everyone enjoy their Christmas day. I still love Christmas, that's for sure.

Once again, MERRY CHRISTMAS 2008 to all!

Wonderland Vs Wanderland

First of all, why call this blog 'Wonderland'?
Yes, everyone hopes that their life is wonderful, but how many of them really think that "Oh, my life is sooo wonderful...."?My guess is..........not many, including me.
Life's quite perfect for me before I start my working life, but once I step out from my college, is totally a different world. Life's getting more complicated now. Well, I'm not saying that I don't like my life now. But I just can't stop myself from keep wandering, 'Is this the life I wanted?'.

I have a nice job, nothing troublesome happens to my family, I've a boyfriend that really cares for me, and I even have few good friends. Everything looks fine. But some how, I just keep wandering, 'Am I really happy with my current status?'.
Nowadays, I find myself become more and more confuse. I can't say that I lead an unhappy life. Is just that I keep feeling there is nothing to celebrate in my daily life, nothing to feel happy for, nothing that I can think of now.
Another question pops out, "Am I too greedy?", "Will I get punishment for my greediness?"
Just keep on wandering......
So, I think better I name this blog 'Kath's Wanderland', refer to the owner that keep on wandering in her daily life....(haha).....

My First Post!!!

Well, really nothing much to say in this first post.
Just wanna say 'Hi'.......
And hoping that I can manage my blog better than before....haha....
